I forgot to add the story part to my post! All of my ink is the product of my husband's artistic skill and my strange whims

. We own and run a tattoo shop in Duluth which pays for the chicken hobby among other things. As far as a "meaning" behind my stuff, there really isnt one. I love the aesthetic of large swaths of skin covered in color. I look at the body part I want done and picture what I would like to see there, and what would fit best. Its just what works best for me. We have a lot more to do on what will be 3/4 sleeves on both arms. I have nothing below my waist- just a personal prefrence to keep the art where I can enjoy it best!

Well Mine is on my right hip...it was initially done in 1983 in Japan...and updated in 2006 at BoneSpear in Fayetteville, NC.

Initial tat 3 inch on right hip:

The tiger represented me/my fighting style. The butterfly represented change/growth/transformation. I got the tat right after I received my 4th Dan

In 2006, I updated the tattoo, it is on my right thigh and hip. The tiger still represents me, the butterfly closed and sitting alone represents the transformation of my life and the stand of bamboo represents my walking into a new life. It was updated once hubby was medically retired from the Army and I from Law...as we began our new life as retirees...so to speak.

Got this last year for Christmas from middle DS. I am a 2 time survivor in 1999 and 2001.

It is on the top side my left wrist like where a watch would be

No real meaning to them, Don't care for Death and reapers or Unrealistic looking Tiger/Panthers.
The fish was a coverup of a Cross done as a kid with needle thread and indian ink.

This is one of 9 that I have, they are so addicting!

2 of my sister's and I have these tat's almost identical, only the names are different. Mine is my name and my hubby, one of my sister's got her and her hubby's name and the other sister with out a hubby had her sons names put in.
I also have one of a dolphin jumping out of the water and my kiddos names in the waves, but do not have a pic of it.

I love whimsy dragonflies!

Hey, Thought I'd throw my two cents in.The tattoo's look great on young bodies,but wait till you're old and your body is sagging,not so pretty....The tattoo on your rear will be down to the back of your knees...the one on your chest will be down to your waist.the one on your bicep will be under your arm, and the one on your leg will have purple lines running thru it....Just thought I'd give you something to look forward too....
