I think the bandaid trick could work as well. Here is a link Danny.
It says guinea fowl but it is also for chickens. Look under straddle leg section. It couldnt hurt!!! Best of luck with that one.
They do grow so fast. The only child in my second hatch is already getting wing feathers. They look so funny!!! Its another warm day here and I am getting spring fever!!! I will be waiting for updates!! I will take more pics soon.

I hope Mom doesn't see this.... This morning I checked the 'bator and it was at 104! It was steady at 100-101 last night. I hope her babies are ok. We're on day 19, is there still hope? We would all be devastated if they didn't make it

That was the air temp.

I don't know how long they were like that. I went to bed at about 3:30 am and woke up at 9 am. They were steady last night. When should we start to see movement?

BeardedChick, those peeps are getting cuter and cuter!

If it's air temperature, then hopefully the internal egg temperature was a couple degrees lower. In my 'bator, the air temperature can be around 102 and the internal egg temperature is around 99. So your 104 air temperature might just mean the eggs were around 102, which would be less of a worry.

I rarely see them moving before they pip. Maybe it's just me...

Mine spiked a couple of times on day 18 or 19 it hit 105 for a while but I only had 1 die in the shell.
Well I will be trying again in a couple of weeks after Angie separates her colors to were I might get a blue or a splash. Well keep us updated I know every thing will go ok with your hatch keep us updated.

Dont you worry about it now. I am sure your babies will be okay.
My eggs you could watch and they would slightly jiggle. It looked as if someone hit the bator, ya know? Maybe I just stared too hard for too long. hehehe Day 19!!! wooohooo! Happy hatching dance has begun!
