So I’m hatching egggs under a broody and they all hatched but one who is shrink wrapped! I took out most of the air cell membrane and she’ll but it started bleeding! Help! Oh and don’t give me the link to the step by step hatching article I’ve read it a million times. I’m in the bathroom with the shower on so the humidity is high.

How is your baby doing? Is it moving around at all? If it is bleeding then the veins still need to shrink down. Do you have an incubator to place this baby in so it can stay warm?
I’m warming up my ‘bator now. It’s still moving, and the bleeding has slowed down.

What I have done is let baby sit in bator until you can tell membrane is drying, then I take a little warm water on finger and wet membrane, I then very carefully take the membrane and try to roll it off baby if any bleeding starts you must stop and let veins shrink down more. Good luck!

Oh it’s 3:16 in my time zone
Yes.. let the baby stay in the incubator until those veins shrink down and the yolk is absorbed. In that last pic I can see some pretty good veins still. You can also moisten with Neosporin...non medicated. I have used vasalune before as well, but not sure if it is recommended  it was just what I had on hand at the time. Good luck with your baby...keep us updated!
