I have a SS hen who was acting a little slow today. Her crop was maybe a little squishier than the others but just a little tiny bit. This chicken has always acted a little strange her whole life, keep in mind. She was the first to start molting, and the first to finish but her comb hasn’t regained its color and size yet like the others’ have which (keep in mind she finished molting like 1-2 months ago) is a little concerning. She was standing still and being puffed up but they were in their run so they were all kinda doing the “look at how sad and bored we are. We have nothing to do. You should let us out” thing and standing still but she was the only puffy one. Also, it’s cold out. Maybe she’s just cold? Do you think she’s alright?
Here’s some pics:

How old is she? Was she laying up until she molted? It can be normal in winter to have a pale crop when they are not laying due to shorter winter daylight hours. What do her poops look like? Does her crop or chest always look that large? I would check her crop early in the morning before she has any food or water, to if has emptied overnight. If it is still full and puffy, she might be dealing with a slow or sour crop, or possibly a pendulous crop. A pendulous crop is where the crop has been overstretched for a long time from overeating and stretching of the crop wall. Here is some reading about crop problems:

Thanks so much!
She is just over a year old and she was laying up until she molted. I haven’t gotten a chance to see her poop but I will look tomorrow. No, her chest is large in the pics because she was puffed up. When I picked her up she de-puffed and her chest and crop were normal sized. I can’t check her crop in the morning because I leave the house before they get up (I have automatic doors) I’ll look at the links in a bit but my device is about to die so I can’t right now :p

I can most likely ask a family member to check her crop.
