today i have noticed my daily layer seemed to have lack of energy.
i decided to put food out because she normally runs to the food but she stayed still and she stood sleeping
i did see her walk around the backyard normally
she was perfectly fine yesterday
can someone tell me what is wrong and what i should do to help her?

We need more info.
What do you feed her?
Any signs of injury? Any sneeze, wheezing or runny eyes/beak?

i can’t remember the name of it but it’s a mix of grains plus shells
i’ll look the mix up later
it’s christmas here haha

but she did lay a random soft egg in the middle of the yard, she is six years old

At 6 she could be starting to have a reproductive disorder which may have been predicted by the soft eggs. Many times we don’t discover the exact reason until after death whwn a encropsy can be done. For now, offer her a balanced chicken feed made wet with water, some scrambled egg, and other high protein foods that she might like. Check her for any lice or mites under her lower belly and elsewhere. Feel her crop early in the morning to see if it is emptying properly. What do her poops look like? You can check her for a stuck egg by inserting a clean finger into her vent 1-2 inches. Make her comfortable.
