Hi everyone.
I posted months ago re the health of my chook.
She has been very pale for a long time now. Scruffy feathers, and a lot pulled out on the back of her neck. ( I AM pretty sure she is not moulting as has been like this for ages) She seems pretty fine behavioral wise but today ive noticed her just hanging on my deck next to the pot plants not doing much for ages. She isn't as interested in food as she usually is and the hypercondriact in me thinks she looks even paler than usual.
I have treated my girls for mites and havent seen any in the coop. I am feeding all of them medicated chick feed as I have chicks atm and thought it would b good to feed them all it to deworm
My other chickens all look fine.
I will include a pic of my boss hen with her very red comb for comparison and a pic of my sick chooks poop on deck.
Thanks in advance

Yes, she looks sick. Can you examine her? Does she feel thin? Do you know if her crop is emptying properly overnight?
If she is missing feathers, maybe she is getting picked on. Is it possible she is being bullied off feed? Do you know when she last laid an egg?

She does feel thin and her crop felt empty.
I never see her getting bullied by boss hen, they hang together well.
She usually comes to me with the rest of them but today she hasn't bothered.
She hasn't laid an egg for months and months that i am aware of.

For your information, medicated chick feed contains an anti coccidiostat (usually amprolium) which is not a wormer. How old is she? Have you ever wormed her or had a faecal sample read for worm eggs to see if she needs worming?

Is it just the lighting or is her right eye cloudy?
Being concerned for a few months I would give her a full check over. Look in her mouth for lumps/lesions/cankers, make sure she is eating and drinking then check her crop first thing in the morning to make sure it is empty (To check her crop: Keep food and water away from her tonight, then first thing in the morning before she eats or drinks anything, feel her crop (on right side of her breast below her neckline) It should be completely empty. During the day and until roosting time the crop should have food and water in it and can feel soft, hard, squishy and all kinds of ways. But first thing in the morning it should be empty. If it is not empty there is a problem.) feel her abdomen for bloating or swelling (cup your hand and feel down between her legs and up towards her vent), check her legs for scaly leg mites, check the bottoms of her feet for bumblefoot or any scrapes/scratches.
A photo of her full body stance could be helpful.

I treated the coop and run with coopex and the chickens with pestine? ( from farm supplier) . Am cleaning coop regularly and havent seen amy mites in bedding ( where mum chook and her bubs are).

Thank you for information. I will give her a big check over and check her crop un the morning. We just took some photos of her, my husband was holding her body for the neck feathers photo and she stayed against the grass after - when i got head shot. :-(
