My Sebright pullet is only 3 months old and I caught her outside acting strange. I thought it was heat exhaustion so I brought her inside to the AC, and gave her a little bath. Two days later and shes not making progress...

Shes very droopy and letting her wings drop, shes off balance and can't seem to use her legs. She's been panting and not particularly hungry. I brought her mate in and he's been bringing her food and she's been nibbling on what he brings her but she sleeps in the corner on the floor now. The first night she tried to perch but was very weak and had to dangle her head below her.

Any help on what I sound do?

Keep her quarantined.

Is she drinking? Is her breathing labored? Does she have diarrhea?

Look through the health articles in the Learning Center, such as these...

Fowl cholera and internal parasites might also be possibilities. I'm not an expert in fowl health, so someone else might be able to pin it down better.

You could put crushed garlic in her water. It's antibacterial and antiviral. It may or may not help. I had two ducks that got sick and showed similar symptoms. I put garlic and cat's claw in their water. After a few days they acted just fine. I never found out exactly what they had, but my closest guess was fowl cholera.

I wonder if probiotics or electrolytes could help. I'm not sure, but it wouldn't hurt. Other suggestions: apple cider vinegar, therapeutic grade oregano oil (diluted), reishi mushrooms.

Oh...and she's BEAUTIFUL! I want some like her!
