The lil duckling in question is a blk Runner duck. They are on the thin side anyway but he sure does look like he is deficient in something so yes start the PND great stuff but I would still pick up the B complex he really needs the extra help right now.

Please let us know how he is doing in a few days. Adorable lil one.

Update: I haven't found my scale yet, got busy and forgot.

The duck has DEFINITELY gained weight, the bones still protrude, but they're no longer sharp like they were. I'm giving it nutri drench in the water and full access to food.
I think the big problem was the larger ducklings pushed it out of the food, as he isn't showing any signs of being ill. If this keeps up I might be able to have him outside in a few weeks. (where I just permanently moved the others yesterday!)
On another note. Daffy, my lone Indian Runner who's flock was killed by a wolf dog, and his remaining partner died over winter, is so unbelievably happy. He is 5 years old and is treating the ducklings like they're his own offspring. He's teaching them where to eat, how to swim, and cuddling them. Its raining today and they're all dancing in it, happy as can be :')
(I keep calling them ducklings, but the ones I put outside are actually his height already)

That is great news both for the duckling and for Daffy. Watch when you put the Runner out that they don't pick on him since he hasn't been with everyone they may look on him as an intruder.
Oh definitely, that's why I'd prefer to take my time with the little one. We have a lot of "introduction" kennels, so I'll be sure to take things slow and carefully :ya

Awe, they sound happy! Glad to hear there is improvement on the smaller duckling.

Duckling is doing better every day, I'm putting him outside for about an hour each day. It appears this will be a long process as the other ducklings are being bullies to him. I knew this would happen though, so we'll fight for it.
Any tips for better introduction? Normally I'd use a wire kennel like I always have, but it's currently in use. Plus I'm using the same pen for a pregnant Goat and the kennel would take up too much room.

Another question, when can you tell male from female ducks apart? So far everyone's tail is smooth, no curlies. The quacks are throwing me, sometimes they're loud, then the next moment their raspy. I honestly can't sex them. They are like 10 weeks or so old.
