sick golden seabright

Gertie is a young hen, just started laying eggs a few weeks ago. i bought her and 2 other hens (Rhode idland reds) about 6 weeks ago. Since i brought her home she has been a little off. the last 3 weeks she has had a runny eye & possibly nose & her beak is open most of the time. I don't hear any wheesing or coughing but she has lost some weight. She has never hung out with the other chickens much, but since it has been rainy the last few days she has not left the coop.

I had a suggestion to give her aloe & another to give her antibiotics. I don't know what she has 7 don't want to treat her incorrectly. has any one has this problem??

Better safe than sorry. I would start with antibiotics right away if it was my chicken. Sounds like she needs them.
