Sick hen maybe coccidosis? Impacted crop??

This poo became a bit smeared. It had the whitish part on it. She has hardly pooped at all today. Just this one and it is 4:25 pm here. I try to give her a 1cc syringe of water every hour but she is actually very strong and fights me. I don't think she has had more than 5 cc of water today and just 5 or 6 bites of soft egg. I also gave her 0.5 cc of nutridrench yesterday and today. And one dose of the miconozole today.

Yeah. Should I continue on with my regime of corid and myconozole? We have. Spent nearly $900 on vet visits in the past months and my spouse is unwilling to spend more. I feel badly for her but I am doing all I can. Any other ideas?

Hi Carolrich, sorry to hear poor Beatrice is back in sick bay!
Have you given her a calcium tab to be sure? Taking in to account her recent egg issue I would wonder is the poor girl suffering from a reproductive disorder. I would definitely give her calcium/tums as it won't harm her.
Any chance she's coming into molt? Loose feathers anywhere ?? That would be grand :fl

Can you go to Tractor Supply and get a larger syringe, and to PetsMart or Petco for some aquarium airline?
I won't be able to get to those stores until tomorrow morning. Meanwhile I got my daughter over to help hold her and am trying to put more water into her crop. How much is safe to put into her at any one time? I can probably push it down 10 times but she gets ver upset. I will be able to go out in the morning..

I will give it a try. Not molting. And her vent is contracting normally.

10 to 15 ml per pound of body weight is safe when tubing, but with a smaller syringe it's difficult to do.

Ok everyone! You are all so helpful. We got another 5cc down her and will try in another hour and every hour until we go to bed. I will try the 3 cc syringe next time. I have to go out to secure all the rest od the flock before dark. @casportpony could you post some instructions for me for tomorrow's procedure? You are all so helpful! Thank you
