Sick Hen... Need Help... Pics Included

Thank you, this was great information. This is what I was thinking. The egg yolk in her has to be irritating her insides. Is it possible to get an antibiotic from Rural King or TSC? I'm not so sure that is the final answer anyways. From the information in the link it sounds like the prognosis is poor at best. Thank you so much for your help.

:hugs
You can try Tylan from TSC but I don't think it will help at this point.

The calcium citrate may not help, but I think it’s worth a try. If she has EYP, it won’t help one bit. Aggressive treatment with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories may buy her some time if it’s EYP, though I’m not convinced it’s EYP at this time.

Edited to add:
Sadly, I think it could be headed that way.

I would try to get some Baytril an antibiotic which is banned for poultry in US, but commonly used to treat severe infections. It would be good to get it soon from a local vet, but here is a link where you may find it online, and dosage is in post 3:

She has obviously got some problems with an impacted oviduct. I would probably try antibiotics plus calcium with vitamin D for several days. These things can eventually become egg yolk peritonitis, and are common in good layers. Here is more reading:
