*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Rules set forth by, I'm not sure who, in the pages of this thread, though I'm not sure where. But I ENFORCE them. So Younger to the dungeon to eat her brownies...boyfriend needs to be interviewed by Sour. He can meet him on the ledge beside the moat.

Seriously - they might see something, and then where would we be?

Been having one of those days - I woke up this morning to the realization that I had left the hose to the horses' water trough running all night.

*splat* So I had to run a cycle on the water softener, otherwise, everything in the house would turn orange.

Then I spent most of the morning doing battle with the carpet shampooer; I ultimately was victorious - I think. When I picked BB2K up from school, there were some dark clouds on the horizon, but the weather held until just as we got to the grocery store. Fortunately, we got in before the bottom fell out, but BB2K was not feeling at all happy at the prospect of going back out, considering the deluge that ensued. Y'see, for reasons that make sense to her, but which escape me, she has dyed the ends of her hair a deep violet shade. She did this just a couple of days ago, and the color is still coming out every time her hair gets wet. I agreed with her, we didn't want to know what purple rain would do to my car's upholstery. For the sanity of all involved, I left her waiting with the groceries in the store, and scurried out in the rain to get the car and drove it back up to the door so she wouldn't have to get wet. There was a very useful store employee at the door with a couple of large umbrellas, helping people to do the very thing we were doing. Between his umbrella and her hoodie, BB2K barely caught a drop, and my car seat didn't get tie-dyed.

So we got home unscathed, but when we arrived, we found that our internet had been knocked out by the storm. The connection is coming and going (the storms are into their 3rd hour now); I think we might go into withdrawal if we had to be unplugged for that long. I have my phone doing duty as a hot spot until the regular service settles down.

Never mind whether or not we are in Kansas, I'm not even sure what planet I'm on right now!

But hey, the FROGS are happy.
