The parade went off without a hitch... Unless you count the WIND!!
No, I did not wear my bucket, but I figured that I looked plenty hideous with my hair up.
I'm actually not sure where I am in this picture.... I'm one of the girls on the left. We're all matching robots when we're in the dress greens.
It'll be even worse once we get the BTUs because we won't have different awards.
This is us receiving final instructions. Sadly, because he has muscular dystrophy, our PFC (on the far right) did not march in the parade with us.
Yay, flags!
We carried the American flag, the Missouri state flag, the POW and MIA flag, the Christian flag, and the American Legion flag. The local Legion post is sponsoring us. I'm the one with the blue flag (the Legion's) on the far left.
Five minutes to showtime.
Left, left, left, right, left!
I still have that playing in my head.
All in all, I think we did rather well. The wind was blowing hard enough that I lost my hat after the second turn, but one of the parade watchers was kind enough to grab it and run it to the Sergeant.
It was a one mile march, but it felt like two, since we were behind the police car and had to go sooooo sloooow.... When we were done we were all hot and sweaty, but wouldn't take our jackets off because it was too gross.
