Need a good night's sleep because tomorrow I get to clean the entire house for the 24 people showing up during the holidays. Anyone want to come and help me? I have 4 bathrooms, a kitchen that is a disaster and legos everywhere from a cute little boy...

I have a grand daughter who was just faced with that sort of 'reality'. She whined just a little knowing her audience, and I replied, "Well, all the more reason to work with your head rather than your back."

It's a few days after Christmas, but it is my parents, sisters, aunt, cousins and their children. My side of the family is small - on my husband's side, my son is the 19th grandchild...



Can I come over to your place instead? I could cook you Christmas dinner...

Only 6.5 hours from Pittsburgh - I have a big turkey that needs to be roasted - Sourland makes a pretty awesome stuffing.

Our kids and their kids show up on the 26th, but most will go home hat night.

Lordy, I remember. Eight and a half hours at the shop and then contract work until nearly midnight, wasn't that a blast.

It was in January of this year, a time when I was still cheerful and energetic all the time.
