just seen the part about the coyote. i would say if you can around your chicken coop put up hot wire. if it was the coyote one time getting into that wire and he wont come back! and for just an area around your coop you could pick up a small box and it should be that much. i know lowes sells some for gardens you might try one of those. but a fox will do the same. they will tear into your cages if they can or dig under a fence!

I doubt it was Cash. I think either a hawk, a fox, or the coyotes (yes they will attack in daylight if hungry enough). Foxes and coyotes tend to leave less evidence, so I'm going with a hawk.
