Totally off subject, but....
you have Emus? I was thinking about hatching an emu, but what do you feed them? And are they fairly easy to hatch?
I do have emus and the are SO easy to keep! I haven't tried hatching eggs as I always let my male, Enoch, sit on his nest. I feed a commercial ratite feed made by Associated Feed out of Turlock. Enoch is sitting on his nest now, though I don't have much hope for chicks. Too much snow this year and he decided he didn't want to nest in either of his shelters. They're fun birds, especially if hand raised from hatching.
Oooh, I may have to try it, if I can get over paying $25 for 1 egg!
