Silence Is Not Golden Here

Just talked to one of the girls and she was reluctant to tell me if she has anything for sale. All the options she gave me were crap but I found out that she gave those bantam Ameraucanas away instead of selling them.
It’s hard to keep up with this thread lol, I can only do so many.

I thought you couldn’t have any more birds? If you’re trying to get more stock why can’t you get another chick friend?

Here are pictures of my splash EE. She is pretty.

I want more show stock. But I don't want to raise more chicks.
Lindi is outside enjoying the day.

Oh. I thought you said you can’t have more chickens?
What are you gonna do with the chicks that you’re trying to get your stock to breed out?
Not sure. I'm not breeding my stock until next season.
Right now I'm just trying to get more bantam breeding stock to have for next year. My layer flock is mostly being culled. They'll be replaced next year with chicks so I can have some then.
What I don't want is feed store chicks hatchery chicks or mutts.
If I can find a few quality purebred bantam chicks I will get those.

You don’t think it’d be better to have a hatchery quality bird than to have your last chick be alone?

Chick needs a friend. A hatchery quality bird can always be rehomed later.

On a different note, I was just reading up on twins. I think the egg with two embryos would have had to fail - there was only one yolk, and it was a normal sized egg, but there were two very distinct embryos that had died simultaniously in development inside. Not attached to each other. Now I wish I'd taken some photos.
