My Boy that everyone thought was a girl until he was about 5 months old is trying to breed everything he sees at 6 months lol! Hopefully we will get some fertile eggs when he figures out which end is which

I just helped the last chick out of the egg from the broody. Poor bird was on day 27 and just pipped - not out. I slowly took away pieces of shell and realized it was fully absorbed, fully retracted - just not out. So I let it out. Its belly was really shrunken, it had been using the yolk to survive but the mom kept getting on and off the nest because of the other babies and the egg got cold. Its in the brooder with the other chicks - mom took one look at the wet dark chick and tried to throw it. Its silver grey now but she isn't getting it back.

It's been so nice this week, i'm actually glad it's raining. The plants were parched! It's been in the high 70's, not too hot but enough to wear shorts and a T
