First off let's clarify a bit of your terms. If your Rooster is "Black Grey" meaning "Dark Blue" then you will have Blue x Black which will give you 50% Blue and 50% Black. You wont get white unless both of your birds carry recessive white. Maybe the white you mean is Splash? That would mean you would have two Blue birds, not a Blue and a Black.

Buff Rooster over Blue hen..would give you a mish mash of colors. I am doing a Partridge roo over Buff hen to try and get to Partridge Chicks, it seems she is closer to Partridge than I thought so maybe it won't take as long. If your Buff Rooster is half buff base and half partridge base then you will get chicks that are blue or buff or black or partridge, depending on what the hen has.

You won't know what you will get unless you know the genetics behind your birds. The way you will know is by breeding them together and hatching out the chicks.... lots of chicks...

Ok, so you have a Grey rooster and a Black hen. You would get Grey and Black chicks, no white unless they both carry recessive white.

Buff roosters are allowed to have a few black feathers in their tails. Those with a lot of black in their tails (and sometimes in their wings) are Partridge based. If your Buff rooster carries the partridge base then you can get partridge - in two or three generations. You need to get rid of all the modifiers that change the feathers to buff. I think if you breed the two, take only the girls and breed back to the father you will get some Partridge or Blue Partridge ones. Keep the best Partridge rooster F2 and breed back to the F1 Partridge looking mothers.

Look at the feathers of your Buff rooster very carefully. He should show some patterning in his feathers, either on his wings, chest or back. Without the pattern his chicks can't be called Partridge. The hen might have the patterning gene too, check her feathers. If you have the pattern, and you have the base, then you can hatch Partridges. Its going to take some work, so good luck.

they carry the recessive white gene my friend on here and i know her in person i got from her and she said i would get white from them so im guessing they have the gene well she said onyx my black silkie has it ... what did i just get myself into lol i am gonna need a lot of help doing this stuff so if you or anyone else would like to walk me through it and come along on a waiting game with me so once i start getting the blue hens eggs again then i can start trying to get my partridge .. i guess their not around here or something because my friend has been looking for them and never found them around us ... could you pm me and like explain as much as you can because i am not good with genetic stuff .. so if i get any buff hens i get rid of them and if i get any partridge hens i keep them ?? is blue partridge any different or harder to get or is it the same as partridge but just blue ??

I didn't realize that partridge was so hard to come by! I purchased a chick from our local farm store that I thought was maybe a partridge and it turns out I was right. It doesn't appear that it has so much of a beard so I had rather decided to sell it! Hmmmmmm!

Their parents were all kinds of sketchy backgrounds.

In appearences I had two blue hens (no gold leakage) and one buff with smutty tail. I got some really nice partridge out of them.

Here are some examples.. Parents the first three pictures.

and the following are their partridge offspring:

Sadly I lost all of my silkies in the fire. I was so excited to start breeding my partridge birds. I thought they were great.. considering what birds they came from.

Now I just got a trio of whites from Jamie Carson, and two blues. They are in terrible condition from breeding, but I can tell they have some real potential too.
