I can't believe I did not check in to meet those of you who went to the Newnan show. I had a blast....the meet and greet with the Silkie Association was so much fun and everyone went out of their way to introduce themselves. One woman from Canada...Barb..can't remember her last name, was so much fun to talk to. I hated that Judy King is having to sell all her silkies. My little self blue took 1st in the pullets! I think she enjoyed it. My buff took 5th...she had 2 white feathers in her wing. I did not even notice! But I was pleased with this being the first really big show I have attended. Thanks! I am beyond happy! She wasn't looking her best either (couldn't get rid of some pin feathers on her head), so I can't imagine what might have happened I she was!
Dweeb...the lady in the blue shirt in your last pic is Sherry Humpheries...she took A LOT of ribbons and plaques too. She was really nice and answered a lot of questions for me.
Here is my little Lilac
Here is the Silkie Association booth. My DH won the 50/50 raffle!!
I bought a beautiful paint hen and a black split to self blue hen from Chowsdown Farm and 28 eggs from her flocks...I am so excited!!
I wish we had big shows like this in our area. We do have one fairly good sized one in Newport TN...usually around 1000 entries.
