Silkie breeding, genetics & showing

So a friend of mine decided he doesn't want to do the silkie thing anymore....this is what I came home with.

Orion. This guy doesn't stop strutting.

I met a friend showing at the show in GA and bought a beautiful paint pullet and a black split to self blue hen. Now...gotta find a nice true black roo for the black breeding pen and I should be set to go for the spring!
Can someone post a pic of a foot booty for silkies?? I want to boot those I plan on continuing showing this year and can't find a pattern. With a pic I should be able to figure it out...thanks!

oh cool! But I wouldn't use neoprene, it isn't breathable and they can overheat very fast. Same with neoprene dog booties, you can't leave them on for a period of time, only for short distances or they will overheat. Maybe I could make some with a more breathable fabric and grips on the bottom

That is what I was looking for anyway, Ice doesn't walk on the hardwood very well, looks like she's trying to walk on, well, ice

Just found them here yesterday!

I thought these chicks were splash because they were light at hatch. They are 6 weeks old now and they look lavender? Do they look Lavender to you? They are out of a blue pen. The partridge is also out of the blue pen.

Chick #2 could be lav. Check wing feathers for any variation of color. If they aren't all exactly the same color, it may be splash. I have had splash that I thought were white for the first several weeks. The first one looks light blue or dark splash.
