I thought your splash roo was a beautiful color and much better than mine...as mine is a dark splash roo...although he is very gentle and round like a soccer ball...lol sorry these are taken with my phone quickly this afternoon after I saw you put your beautiful roo up....












Should you be looking for a light colored spalsh or dark? after 'type' that is...
I have two light splash girls that I am going to try and breed him with and see....

that not a splash look blue or black mottled if he is splash that darkest splash ive ever seen

i'm pretty sure he is a splash, came from a spalsh egg...maybe just not a very good splash? messy color or something? but I do love him...pics aren't very good but he is very 'round'?

I use my phone also for all my pics . I think your rooster's color is really different and beautiful!

he is lovely bird only bird i have ever seen like him was mottled silkie ive never seen splash be bark with light spots

I had one with a similar color at 6 months. By 10 months it was blue. I crossed him with a blue hen, got dozens of nice babies and none had his odd original coloring.

yes there are couple breeder working on mottles they where made from mottle cochins but there silkies now

if he is mottled it would take 2 bird that carried the gene to get bird like him
