Silkie chick hatched this morning Help please i think somethings wrong

i woke up this morning to hear chirping and it was a silkie chick! its a non bearded chick but i hope its a hen. ill post pics later this evening

You'd be in heaven here...I have silkies hatching all over the place right now--3 incubators and have about 8 broody hens!!! It never gets old though! I get excited every time one hatches!!!

i had one egg i was really wanting to hatch it was a bearded hen with a bearded roo and i was wanting a bearded one but this one is just as good

when i got the chick out of the incubator i looked at its stomach and its got blood around it and a big dark spot around the blood what is it?

Could be where the ambilical cord was connected. I hope you left him in there for awhile to dry while the others start to hatch?!

he was in there all day and he was dry and the others had no pip so i dont think they will hatch but i could be wrong they could hatch tomorrow but im going to take the chick out and put it in a brooder tonight
