Silkie/Cochin Hatch! Follow Along!

My Bantam Cochin, Ethel, went broody on November 3rd so I let her brood a clutch of her own. She was only able to gather 3 eggs, but she has been the most devoted and mild tempered broody! Tomorrow is hatch day, so I thought I would document what we see so you can follow along!

Parents: Blue Bantam Cochin & White Silkie

Status: 1 chick hatched, 1 egg pipped, 1 egg tbd...

How common is it for chicks to hatch a day late? We are nearing the end of day 21 and egg 3 has yet to pip. Should we hold out hope?
