This may sound kinda of stupid but can anyone tell me if they eat silkie eggs. I know that they are small but I see it to be a waste to throw them out. I have 6 hens and none of them are broody at this time. So I thought I would just eat the eggs until she decides to sit.

Thanks

You sure can! My grandkids love to have their "baby" eggs and little tiny pancakes to go with them...it used to be a struggle at home to get them to eat anything for breakfast (unless it was junk) until they spent a weekend here and they helped do chores and collect eggs. I promised them eggs for breakfast the next morning and they asked for the little eggs; we created a kid's sized treat that they brag about in school. Now they HAVE to come help grandma every Thursday after school so they can get paid in silkie eggs (I sneak in pullet eggs too to have enough

). The only drawback is now their mom has to get up earlier on weekends so they can have their special breakfast...LOL.
