Just laid 4 silkie eggs on the final 3 days... Lock down has begun

BY mix egg hatched today under a broody silkie. The silkie egg pipped earlier today. Gonna try to check it before bed.

Silkie chick was hatched out yesterday morning. Another little splash baby.

No, I'm out of room in the house and the cat will get it if i leave them in the coop

Oh my goodness. . . Is there anyone in Southern CA who has an extra Silkie chick? I need a Silkie girl who will grow up and want to go broody. Have 18 big girls-a-laying pretty eggs but have never had one who wants to sit.

well day 9 here, still have/had 13 going on my last check... I candle again tomorrow, altho haven't been checking the ones under my broody that well, so fingers crossed she's doing her job ok. she's sitting tightly every time I check, so i'm hopeful... maybe this weekend i'll try and candle all of hers again just to be sure... (she has 6 now). and I have 7 in the bator.... one of them is developing but looks almost like it's clear on half of it so i'm thinking a late quitter, or mid quitter I guess, but I thought I saw movement??? very odd, guess we'll just wait and see.....

Happy Valentines Day to all my silkie friends!! I really need your help and guidance I am about to attempt my first hatch using a incubator...I have absolutely no clue what to do or not do ..I have 4 silkie hens and 2 Cockrels but my hens obviously aren't in the mood to brood lol can someone walk me thru this scary process? ?

You will get lots of help here. I have 20 chicks in my Hova Bator and a few more piping.
What make and model of incubator are you going to use? Do you have access to the incubator manual in hand or online? DB
