Silkie is yawning non stop, help!

I can’t see any bugs on my birds but I did notice small brown bugs in the coop on the wall...I need to do some research on feather mites and maybe do another round of permethrin.
Did you retreat your coop a week after the first treatment?
Sometimes it is good to treat the coop 3 times, 3 weeks in a row to knock them down.

I did it twice. I will do another round for 3 weeks in a row starting this week, I’d like to be able to rule them out as a cause for distress. I don’t feed any wild birds but we do live in the forest and there are always chipmunks, squirrels and birds in and out of their run. I will need to figure out how to make that not possible. This is so much harder than I ever imagined, I’m having a really hard time justifying having chickens at all even though I love them to pieces

My last Silkie is acting sick as of today...ruffled feathers, not moving around much. It’s cold here today but she’s usually much more active. Her poop was frothier than usual and appeared to have a piece of fleshy material in it along with white frothy/stringy substance in the brown matter. I am down to 9 birds from 12 and was really hoping this would stop!!!! How do I know it’s not something else besides mareks? I treated the coop with DE today and plan to clean and retreat the entire coop this weekend and then repeat. I have also been giving them nitro stench in their water rotating with fresh water. Is it possible they still have worms? Or Cocci?

Did you treat the whole flock for worms?
If you did, what did you use and the dosage.

Yes I did. I treated them with Valbazen 1/2 cc per bird except my bantam I did less...once and again 10 days later. I also treated them with Corid 2 tsp per gallon for 7 days and then 1/2 tsp per gallon for 14 days.
Can you possibly get another fecal float?
I would hate for you to re-treat for worms when that's not the problem.

I'm sorry that your Silkie is not doing well. Is she by chance beginning to molt or has she eaten anything water like melon that may have caused a change in the stool?

I absolutely agree! I found a vet that will do a float for $35 I’m going to try to get a sample today. I can’t tell if she’s moulting, she’s not losing feathers. She been drinking fine I haven’t seen her eat yet, she bent down this morning and fluid came out her beak and everyone tried to eat it. I’ve seen them do that before so hoping it’s not an issue with her crop...because ultimately that means mareks will take her like the others. She did possibly eat a piece of a pear that fell from a nearby tree...thank you for your help and kind words. ❤️

Poor thing. I don't think this is a good sign...the fluid coming out of her when she bent over. I am so sorry.
