I love my silkies. Watching my rooster hop his fuzzy butt up the roost at bedtime is true entertainment.

That works! Ok, so to intensify the hatching anticipation, there's a possibility that one of the two possible frizzle eggs could be a mauve, and there's also a chance one could be a satin frizzle, i think those are called sizzles? Small chance I know, but how cool would that be!?!I am too! I have to live varcariously through you since I don't have any.![]()

There's only one way to find out! If I don't get one from the 2 eggs I have now, I can always get more from that pen to hatch outDoesn't "Sizzle" make even more floof?![]()

Definitely give hubby what he wants. Makes this adventure easier to get involved in. My hubby helps me to some degree but is not the chicken person as I'd hoped he'd be.Especially since now the hubby wants frizzles![]()
Yes, happy spouse happy house, I have no choice but to build another coop so he can have a frizzle flockDefinitely give hubby what he wants. Makes this adventure easier to get involved in. My hubby helps me to some degree but is not the chicken person as I'd hoped he'd be.![]()
Fabulous hubby is on board definitely makes it more fun overall and you both have something to share. My guy loves birds in general so at least he understands my obsessions, he just doesn't want to do the work.Yes, happy spouse happy house, I have no choice but to build another coop so he can have a frizzle flockhe also wants some polish, I only have 3 coops right now but I may need to sort them so I have 1 coop of silkies, 1 of "fun" chickens for him (Polish, frizzle, anything with cool looking feathers...) and 1 coop of egg layers. After all, I am into chickens for the eggs, but then got side tracked by the silkies a few weeks ago
I've been very spoiled, he supports all my crazy chicken stuff as long as I have a reasonable plan. On the silkies, he agreed to them but said he's getting pigs, so no problem! I'm looking forward to some home grown pork to cook. If we don't get attached to them and end up keeping them as pets...
