I too had a biter, a Black Australorp hen that bit and flogged me. She was incorrigible. Drew blood! What can you do but ignore them!

Oh wow, Chonkers is turning into a very handsome dude! ❤ I love his size and stance. He looks so soft and gentle!

I just love the floof on the girl above!! She is so adorable, just floof and beak! ❤

It's getting cold here tonight, Chonkers is taking advantage of snuggling up to one of my two massive black astraulorps (I have 6 BAs total, but 2 are just HUGE) he has picked a good spot for the night



Here is Grinch, I'm sure it's a he, the comb has the three rows (if that holds true for cockerels, I know it did for Fiz Bang...) the colors on this chick are really striking! Grey, cream, almost some salmon hints too. (@ElfenLied89 here's your chick!)

I need to get a new photo of Max, I think it's a she, (hoping!) and she is pure white, so pretty! Star is in a super gangly phase, she's looking very unkempt

Ah, I did take a photo of Max today! Just heat lamp light and not regular light, I'll try to remember to get some better photos tomorrow.

I took the pad out of their cage today, they have graduated to the wire floor, their feet are big enough now, and their sharp nails were just shredding everything I put down.

Oh no, what's your address? I'm sure USPS can get the Grinch safely to your house

He is pretty though, it will he interesting to see what his adult colors will be. Always the green under floof though, I'm sure he will never lose that.

I had to dig out the Fiz Bang and Grump Grumps baby photos. Grinch is unrelated (as far as I know, unless his mom happened to come from the same hatchery and these ones) but has similar coloring, especially on the chest as Grump Grumps!

Here is Grump Grumps, she turned into a gorgeous hen! With her rusty colored feathers she kept me guessing for a long time whether she was a pullet or cockerel.





And here is Fiz Bang, he announced very early to the world that he was a boy, the few feathers he was able to sprout had rust coming to them, and his comb thickened and colored extremely young.

It's fun to watch them morph into the beauties they are today. Both Grump Grumps and Fizz Bang turned out gorgeous!

Well he is def a grinch at heart. Of course he needs his green.

Speaking of green. I need green chicken safe dye and a white silkie. And then a smaller chicken that looks like Max. Imagine that for Christmas card

We are getting our first snow of the season today. The silkies seem unphased, the layers are still doing their thing. All the runs are covered and the snow isn't blowing so the chickens still have a lot of bare ground to walk on.

This one on the other hand, is loving the snow!
