Ok everybody, it's that time again! @EmmaRainboe @Krugerrand @Chickeria @LynnaePB @charlotte-and-the-bees @RoostersAreAwesome @JustAChickenLoverOverHere @HappyClucker7 Just got these babies moved outside cause it was getting a little crowded in the two brooders I had them housed in. Of course it decided to rain, so their boots got a little wet, but all in all, it was easier doing this since they were all together. Plus, my kid has volunteered to be my research assistant! In the first several pictures we were still trying to figure out how posing was gonna work, but I think we figured it out towards the end. Thus far I haven't spotted any deformities besides a slight cross beak in one of the buffs and a potential runt, so I'm a lot more confident in my data this time.

Dang, this week was a hard one. I'm not sure if it's the pictures, the way they are being held, their age, or I'm just going batty.

They are getting a little more complicated (and I'm sure how they're posed didn't help, we'll be better next time). This time I tried to make sure their entire crest was showing, so y'all could get an idea of how it was filling out for each bird.

I'm looking forward to the data!

Not too long now. We're over half way through!
