SILKIE SEXING QUESTION

You can't accurately sex chicks by behavior. I do hope you didn't get rid of them just because they acted rooish. They could be pullets.
I know it's true that there can be wavering accuracy... But very often behavior is an excellent indicator.

I do have those chicks sold already as I wasn't hatching them for myself anyways. But have considered not letting them go because I would feel bad about someone ending up with 3 cockerels out of 4. Maybe like you say though... I don't know the whole truth yet. Maybe I don't have to feel somehow guilty even though they know they are straight run.

Part of the identifying SOME boys early on is simply for fun. We like the practice and to see how close we are. There was one broody raised Frizzle who's behavior said cockerel but body attributes at 10 weeks didn't line up. So we thought maybe late blooming boy. But no she was a late blooming girl. In Silkies, I only see late blooming girls. But boys are usually easily identifiable by 10 to 12 weeks.

Thank you very much for trying to keep me grounded. :D
