silkie sexing

Hi everybody, here are some updated pics of my babies. They are about 3 month old now and I still don't have a clue as to what they will turn out to be :idunno . What do you think? The partridge silky: One day I think he is a she because of the 'rather submissive' bahaviour and the round crest and the missing streamers and the even patter, the next day I think she is a he because of the rather large comb and feet and the fact that s/he is much bigger than the white one... confused.... The white silky: I kind of lean towards cockerel with this one due to it's behaviour (skittish and alert and 'defensive' if this makes sense) however the comb is smaller the whole bird actually is the smaller one and I do not see any streamers yet, so maybe it's a pullet? Please help if you can.
Your partridge is a roo based on that huge comb and I am not sure on your white. They are both so cute and round lol!

@TrishSPA I think your partridge is a girl and I'm leaning towards your white being a roo, but I'm not certain.

Thanks for your guesses, at least now I know that it's not only me being confused about the gender

. I guess I pick ashtree's answer as this would suit me a little better (even though I'd prefer to keep both, however the partridge is such a sweety while the white one is more of a 'character'). Do you know of pullets with this big a comb? Is it still possible? Also I thought I detected a slight greenish tint to the partridge tail feathers yesterday

I guess I really have to wait until they crow to know

.

If they start crowing does it happen over night and then they are on full volume every day or does it happen gradually? (sorry for the stupid question, my first chicks so I am really ignorant).
I am just wondering how much time I have to find a new place for them (not allowed roos where I live) should they turn out to be cockerels.

I would say that the partridge is a pullet (sometimes girls will have large combs), and I'm also leaning towards cockerel for the white Silkie. :)

Could you help me with the sex of my partridge Silkie?
Here are her 10 week pics! "She" is still at the bottom of the pecking order even after I found new homes for my extra roos. (not being bullied though) She is very quiet and shy.
So anyway let's see what you guys think again. Also what is the BEST age to be able to tell a Silkies sex for sure.

She's looking pretty crazy lately, but don't tell her I said that! She very careful about her looks!

Some more pin feathers are coming in.

Where are your silkies from? I've noticed some hatchery silkies have bigger combs than what I've found with breeders. If not from a hatchery did you meet the parent birds?

Little roosters will definitely do some cock a doodling prep work. But within a week or two all mine have figured it out. Are you on good terms with the neighbors? You can always tell them you are in the process of rehoming the crower. Most folks are understanding, at least I like to think so.

They are hatchery birds, have not seen the parents. Those two were the only silkies they had left for this 'season' so I did not get to choose much or compare with others. I am also not sure if they are from the same clutch or just randomly roughly same age.

Most of our Neighbours are fine, the one right behind our back fence has pretty noisy hens herself, only our immediate neighbour is a bit of a worry with getting council involved everytime he is bored (which seems to happen quite a lot

The hatchery said we can return any cockerels however I would prefer to find them a good place far away from pots and pans ...
