Silkie thread!

I have one Silkie, and have a question.... What on earth is her coloring???? I thought she was a buff, but now I don't know...

If the only mottling that she has is on her wings, I'd say that she's a buff. Buffs will be mottled like that sometimes.

My attempt at opening up my nest boxes so the girls that are laying can actually use them:

I think they approve since they put 2 eggs in each box!
I normally put my broodies in this ugly thing:

Both sides are occupied right now, along with 2 more brooders

A few of the adorable residents in the hutch, the older chicks have a good sized pen to roam during the day:

I love it!! And those babies are adorable!!

Thank you!

I think I have 2 more broodies  My chickens have all gone crazy! Aside from the 4 hens sitting in the Silkie coop, I've also got a turkey hen brooding as well. And 2 hens have been in the nest boxes I opened up yesterday all morning!

A final update on the black pullet with the brain injury. She is up and walking normal. When I pet her she does the squat so she is wanting to breed. I'm not going to let her just yet of course. With ya all's help she is doing well. It's been several months.

I know I keep coming back to this, but here's the link to Spring Hill place, and here's a link to thei Craigslist ad. How do their silkies look quality-wise?

I can't remember what the original question was?? Whether this place is Sand Hill or Spring Hill??? Or if they are legit?
Here's the Spring Hill Conservatory that it looks like the craigslist ad is for http://springhillhpc.blogspot.com/ Been closed to the public since 2013?? Eh?
Sand Hill Preservation looks like something totally different. Why don't you just call the number and ask what the deal is?

Going on the pics alone, they look like nice birds.

I agree, just by the pictures, they look adorable. But I don't know SQ, so I can't help there. $5 each is reasonable, but sounds cheap for SQ.

I saw 2 ads a couple weeks ago for obviously the same place, but on was located in Shady Hill (I think) and the other Spring Hill.
The ads were new. It said to contact Sandy.
My main concern/question is do the birds look like really good quality. I know they look better quality than my silkies
