Oh I understand I can never find mine either. I have a card reader built into my laptop now which is nice because previously resort to pulling out the camera phone and settling for cruddy pics lol

I FOUND IT!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!! It was in the back of the computer!!

I have ACV but it's doesn't have the "mother" in it. Does yours? I read that putting in their waterer (not in metal ones though). I have this saved as a quote from SpeckledHen on here from 2009
"You really need Corid (for cattle, it's a liquid usually) or Sulmet. Corid is just concentrated treatment-strength Amprolium. Till you can get it, give the chicks some yogurt or sprinkle the powdered nonfat milk into their crumbles to help with their gut, as well as add unfiltered apple cider vinegar to their water, a Tablespoon to a gallon for babies. Then the Corid or Sulmet is added to the water and you remove the ACV."

Do you know how often you need to give them the AVC?

I'll go do this now. Thanks Howlong do I need to give them the ACV? These aren't showing signs of cocci but i'd like to catch it if I can instead of just dispatching them as they do show signs.

You mind me asking......
Not sure how old they are? I was told "about" 5-6 months old.

At what age should they start laying if they are girls...so far NO crowing just grown up "clucking"

And at what age should I know 100% they are female?

About 6 months I'd guess 99% you could tell if they are boy or girl. Really though I get used to seeing my birds everyday and sometimes don't notice when one start looking more like a roo until I start hearing a new one start to crow. Then I'm like duh and it all seems much more obvious. From my experience you're gonna start picking out the boys long before you'll confirm girls based on laying.

I don't think the ones you have pictured are 6 months old IMO they look more like 4 months. As far as gender though I really can't tell from the pics but they are very pretty and I like how you played with the color. Very Cool

Played with the Color???

What are you meaning...are you meaning the background or the border???
The Silkies I left alone in the picture (did not alter anything on them) the background and border I messed with...I do Photo manipulation a lot....I have software for it.

The middle bird looks purple to me, I think that's what they're referring to.

Farmerboy if your birds are suffering from cocci you need to give them Corid or Sulmet. ACV is not going to help them at all.
