Silkie thread!

On the partridge, I kept 7 girls back for breeding and have 2 males picked out to go with them and a 3rd boy as a back up if I don't get what I want for him. Still had 6 extra males to sell though when I got done picking out ones I was keeping. I wish mother nature was like Wal-mart sometimes and we could just get all those extra females as needed. Unfortunately we have to work with what we have and sell the extras.

There's still a lot of extra males that I'm selling very cheap just so they can avoid being Asian cuisine. These are just a handful of the $10 ones....

Have some higher priced ones still here yet too:

sighs..... what coloring is he considered with the barring? not simply red?

Have you raised Silkies before? If not, you'll LOVE them. I call them my kitten chickens lol. Those Reds that are getting posted are very pretty, my DDs would love some Red colored Silkies. We have a small flock of Splash.

yes I had raised and sold whites, splash and I just had gotten reds and then sold all of them off and purchased my Legbar

So many others I seen now, paints and so many pretty kinds.... anyone have a link to a TYPES or colors listing anywhere? save me some researching time?

CP they are lovely, BS are what I had, so pretty! You are fairly close, watch it I will drive up and snatch them! lol

They came out of a partridge mating on white mating. The resulting pullets have beautiful coloration, but the cockerels came out with color all over the spectrum. I got 1 grey, a couple really dark with lots of penciling, 1 with correct black breast, and a handful of these reddish guys.

Ahhhh White, surprise white

I see, are pullets being thrown in the rusty red as well? "The resulting pullets have beautiful coloration"
