I would say yes. I currently have a silkie, a silkie/fav mix and an NN that brooded all together and are now caring for all the chicks together.
Forgot to add that when all the chicks are under one hen, the silkie/fav will then lay on top of that hen and they are perfectly fine with it! It is quite the odd group!
Here is a pic of the 3 stooges and some of their chicks!!

thats really cute, happy looking little buggers
Thanks! I think they are happy???
These girls are quite funny to watch. When I let them out in the morning the NN (annie) is always first with her wings all puffed out like a muscle bound weight lifter, then comes the silkie/fav (Phyllis) and Precious the silkie girl is last. Their first time taking the chicks out of the coop was hysterical. The NN was trying to kill everyone, Phyllis was trying to call the chicks back into the coop and Precious just ran back and forth screaming hysterically! LOL
I have to get a better pic of the silkie/fav laying on top of the other hens at night. The one I got came out to dark. I just love watching these girls care for the chicks!!! They all hatched six chicks total.
