Thank you for the reply! I'll list him locally.

Honestly he is too young to tell. I would at least give him some time to grow into his self. He looks better then PQ at this age. I would not get rid of him yet.

I agree.

I would consider a single comb bird PQ. to me a bird that deserves to pass on its genes does not have any DQs. single comb is not something you want to try to breed out of your flock.

this is my idea for a four coop breeder pen for silkies, I plan on having sand in the bottom a vegitation for shade, I would appreciate any comments or things that I might need to add or take out, the nest box and feeder are inside the coop and the watter will be nipples, the coop is 3'x4' and the runs are 3'x 9' I plan to have one roo and about three or four hens in each one and the main access is through the top, and there is a small door on bottom for cleaning or what have you

thanks

earl

I feel your pain... What region of Arizona do you live in? I have a little 4 month old cockerel that is white who needs an awesome home. In another month or so I'm hoping to have some extra eggs from my whites. I'm still working on hatching for myself. If you remember PM me in a few weeks I don't mind mailing you a small batch from my quintet as a test for myself. BTW my whites are beautimous

Also they are my only breeding group left as of late

I want some "beautimus" whites, they are my fav:drool

I'm so glad I still have mine because if I would have lost them I think I'd be throwing in the towel right about now!

In other words, yourself?

Haha..... Nope not myself!! If you read where I'm from, you might realize we are from the same state, but different locations. AND if you were familiar with user names on BYC you might realize that the ebay user name was similar to the persons BYC user name, and from there you could look up her web page and see more pictures of her birds. I just know her from the SC thread.

lol I saw the ebay name and recognized it hence my treading lightly on my response.

I know what I consider SQ vs. BQ but really I think the listing was lacking in quality pics more than anything.

Well, I guess we'll see if someone corrects me now. That was how it was explained to me.

You're correct Pam but besides the flip flop with BQ vs. SQ the description were pretty spot on
