Oh too cool! They are adorable! Mine from Ideal are going on 2 years and broodie I have 5 Silkie broodies and I only have 6 silkie hens. LOL I was just wondering if they are all non-bearded, if it was still possible for them to hatch out bearded babies?

yeah just looked again and bet you did get some bearded lucky you!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if you cross bearded with non bearded I'm pretty sure you can get NB, bearded and then somewhere in between the two. Using that idea I'd say if they are partially bearded the offspring will be similar.

Favorelles aka favs are a super sweet breed of chicken that I've been told gets along well with silkies as they are both docile in nature. The come in standard and bantam size.

No blacks split to lav cannot produce a blue chick lol in my rambling I might have been confusing

I have 2 bantam boys and 2 bantam girls and I love them almost as much as my silkies. They are full of personality, follow me everywhere and are very gentle with people and other chickens, not to mention I think they are gorgeous. The boys and girls are the watchdogs, they are very aware of their surroundings and are the last in the coop everynight.
They do great with the silkies but do boss around the younger silkies.

Here are my guys. I really like the favs!

Hey Colie,

They are molting right now.. Bummer, but I hope they do start laying again soon. How long does a molt take? I unfortunetly had to put them in with the rest of my flock right away, the hinge broke on the quarantine coop, and i didn't feel safe leaving them overnight in it, so, in they went. Believe it or not, it was not a problem at all. No tussle or anything. And the real amazing thing was, they learned where home was so fast! I only got them yesterday, and let them out with the other cluckers and they had no problem free ranging and coming home to the coop on time. I was worried a bit at first, but they were pretty good about it. And soooooo SWEET! The roo, Mr. Fluffers, he is so gentle with his girls and even my little boys can walk around by him and he's not showing aggression at them or even the 8 wk olds. The hens... They are more agressive than he is... And they are pretty sweet too. Not letting me pick them up yet tho with out a little fit... Gotta get used to me I guess.

HA HA They know were home is. next door the yard they was in has a pit bull but he won't hurt a flea.About 6 months ago 1 of my chickens flew over the fence and they let their dog out without knowing 1 of my chickens as in their yard & their dog had seen my chicken & came running over and laid on his back to get the chicken to play with him.Funny but true story.
