Silkie thread!

I have 24 shipped eggs in the bator that are cooking, 9 of those go on lockdown Thursday. the rest go next week. this batch all 24 came from same breeder a week apart, only had to toss 1 or 2 eggs thankfully.

Thursday I am getting atleast 20 more eggs to stick in the bator. Lets hope these do as well!

That's an awesome rate! Were they shipped very far? I'm getting 2 doz. on Thurs. We'll have to stay in touch. We should have the same hatch day.

We can hopefully celebrate together!

Update: Bonk is doing great after bonk number two. AND he crowed this morning. So I was right on the he part. lol.
He hatched on Thanksgiving and crowing already! I was soooo hoping I was wrong.

I am so glad to hear Bonk is doing better....congrats...

They traveled a decent distance, Pennsylvania to North Carolina

And that is awesome! atleast a dozen eggs I am getting I am hatching for a friend (bantam favorelles), the others are white and paint silkie eggs for my daughter.... We will definitely keep up and do a hatch a long

My last ones came about 2000 miles, but two of the survivors are paints. I sure hope they hatch! I also have paint eggs coming on Thursday but don't know how many yet. They are coming about a 1000 miles.

I'm eggcited!!! I just heard that I may have some very nice Silkie eggs close to being on the way. The breeder I've been hoping to work with has just contacted me and said her crew is up and running. Eggs AND chicks are shipping!!!! (I've ordered a dozen eggs - 4 whites, 8 blue/black/splash.)
