Hello! I have a 6-7 month old silkie pullet who is small in size and for the last 3-4 days she’s been acting off. Standing away from the other hens, eating but not rushing to come to food like normal, and her poops are so bad smelling. They’ve been runny and muddy and have been stuck in her feathers so we trimmed and washed her last night. She has not yet laid an egg. None of the others showing any oddness.

Living in SE NC the weather has been all over the place this week.

At what lint should I get a fecal float or have her seen?

You could try getting her droppings checked by a vet for possible coccidiosis or worms. Or you could try treating for coccidiosis with Corid. Valbazen or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer is good to worm the chickens. She could have a reproductive infection or condition, which could be why she has laid an egg. Amoxicillin is sometimes used to treat chickens with reproductive infections. You can find fish mox online, and sometimes in a local feed store. Check her crop to feel if it is emptying over night.
