I thought I was going to lose my 5-week-old Silkie this morning, but now she seems fine and is acting normally. She kept putting her head to her chest and didn't seem to be able to hold her head correctly. This position seems to have caused her to somersault a lot. She rolled and flopped all over and if I held her, she just kept her head to her chest. I have had her and the other Silkie chick in a separate brooder ever since I noticed a problem with the same chick a couple of weeks ago. Then, she looked dazed and lethargic and cocked her head to one side. I thought maybe the other chicks (which are standard size) may have hurt her so I separated the Silkies. After that she seemed normal until this morning. My other Silkie has been fine. Could this be caused by an injury or illness? Do chickens get epilepsy?
