Silkied Cochin?

I posted this pic nearly a year ago I think, and I thought it might have been a Silkie/ Barred Rock or Cuckoo Marans cross, but lately I've heard from people that this bird may be a pure Cochin with a silkie gene...any ideas?


Please keep it simple. I know nothing about genetics.

He's so handsome. It looks like that a recessive silkie gene popped up somewhere since his body type looks pure cochin.
