Silkies haven't laid yet - Should I be concerned?

In early April, I acquired 2 Silkies from a breeder who was downsizing her flock. She told me the 1-year old hen was already laying, and the other was of age (just over 6 months) but hadn't laid yet.

I've now had them for 3.5 months and they seem happy/healthy, but there are no signs of laying yet. From what I understand, the stress of a move can cause a delay in laying and that Silkies aren't known for being super reliable layers to begin with. But is stopping for 3.5 months normal/okay?

Also, could the extreme heat/humidity here in Florida be playing a role?

I feed them Kalmbach's All-Flock (have a cockerel so avoiding layer feed for now, although this may change in the future) plus they have free choice of oyster shell and grit at all times. They also get a bit of black soldier fly larvae every other day & some fruit/veggie scraps throughout the week.

Is there anything else I can be doing for them to help with egg production? This my first time keeping chickens, so I just want to make sure I'm doing right by them. Any advice would be appreciated. :)
