Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

So, I was meant to be taking this chick to the auction soon as it wasn't one I wanted to keep...

'Wasn't' being the main word there

How could I not keep this one as a growout too?

It needs a name now.

Here are the 5 growouts I've decided on!

The others from the same hatches are being sold on to make room for my next 3 hatches I've got on the way

I'm not sure what I think of the partridges yet but I'm hoping at least one is a Moorhead!

The one with the black zip tie is Twinkie who I posted when they first hatched.

I absolutely despise auctions now. Was fun at first, and I got loads of new birds ( )... but looking at the bigger picture, it’s not all that fun for the poor birds.

I'm a little late to this thread but I thought I'd pop in anyway! I have a white one named Wessel and another named Lily. Wessel is the sweetest thing! She's 2 and a half I believe and has probably only gave us 2 eggs but we love her anyway! She's a big snuggle bug and loves looking around (if we give her a haircut and she can see!) and of course people that visit love her too! Lily also is very sweet but she's more of a rough chicken over Wessel. She's always dirty

It's so nice to see that there's lots of silkie lovers out there.

I'll try to remember! I'm terrible at taking pictures though.. I always forget!

They do don't they! I always do it in the winter because I never take pictures of them then and it's too embarrassing for me to show them off like that.
