I confess after taking in a lonely white silkie rooster many years ago, I’ve had a soft spot for them (pun intended!)
He was a great rooster working in tandem with the full-sized roo. Excellent protector. Feisty!
Hens, well, they are great brooders and moms.

Chickaletta 'queen' (my 10 yr old hen) is broody again as expected. This time though it looks like her eggs may be fertile!! I so want her chicks as she has great traits I want in future generations - great mum, great immunity against everything never been sick.
She's sitting on 9 eggs I think all are hers I've grabbed the egg after she's out of the nest and singing her song so, I cracked one yesterday and it was fertile. She's very picky with her men but I have seen her allow Biscuit to mate her a couple of times lately although it has taken her a year for her to allow him!
-What colours do you think I'll get from her and Biscuit and will some chicks be clean face like she is? - great for not needing haircuts!

So exciting!😍
Your lovely Chickaletta sounds like my Layla. Finally getting fertile eggs from her with the 3rd suitor.🤣
If Biscuit is full bearded, then most of the chicks will be half bearded.
If he is half bearded, then he likely carries the non bearded gene.
I had a beardless hen and crossed with a bearded rooster, the majority of the chicks were bearded. One was non-bearded.
I have also had two bearded birds throw beardless chicks, so not quite sure how it inherited, though I believe the bearding gene is incomplete dominant.😊

Oh the colors! Is that considered calico?
Is that Biscuit? Just gorgeous! Can't wait to see the babies!

It's time for my Silkie eggs to hatch! The first baby came last night and there is a pip on another egg right now. So eggciting!
