I'm not exactly a Silkie fan but due to my wife and daughter we will be having some come spring. I do like their broodiness, and I have seen some roos that rule their little roost!!

Ok so I had a situation like yours a year or so ago only the hen was snatched during the day. We couldn’t find any trace of her. So I hopped over the fence and so did my mum we searched everywhere and then we found a pile of feathers over the fence. My point is it is possible that that a fox has snatched the hen and taken her to the den and de-feathered there.We do have foxes, but no eagles. Would a fox leave any feathers?
