Does anyone elses silkies lay coloured eggs? Or is my silkie not so silky? She lays green eggs, this is the first one next to a regular egg.

I have 2...5 month old Pure white silkies...when will they start laying?

Usually around 6-7 months of age. Some won't start laying until after 2 years.

I had one pullet go broody around 8 months before she laid even one egg...

Most of mine reach point of lay around 8-9 months unless they are fall hatched chicks. Those lay at around 7 months with the spring encouragement.
