We do have foxes, but no eagles. Would a fox leave any feathers?

Ok so I had a situation like yours a year or so ago only the hen was snatched during the day. We couldn’t find any trace of her. So I hopped over the fence and so did my mum we searched everywhere and then we found a pile of feathers over the fence. My point is it is possible that that a fox has snatched the hen and taken her to the den and de-feathered there.
