My youngest silkie (lavender) is about a month or so old. And it is at the strangest looking stage in life, when its fuzz starts turning into a darker/different fuzz, otherwise i would post a pic. lol

Man, I get all ticked off whenever I go and read that stupid silkie scorners unite thread. I LOVE SILKIES, those people.... Ima stop right there , But it is their loss, they dont get to experience the amazing fluffiness walkin around in their yard :smack

Do you have any pictures of your silkie? She sounds lovely!

Believe me, me too.

What would literally dissect the poor bird, eat the head and insides and then leave the rest? Raccoon? Fox? Something else?
Raccoons mutilate their prey.
This what a weasel did to some of my chickens earlier this year.

A fox would take it's prey with it, raccoons would also. Owls will also eat heads, & rip innards out of the chickens bodies.

I lost a dark Brahma pullet, a Silkie pullet, & my White Muff Game pullet that morning.
