Fluffy ( the sweetest rooster of the flock) is a year old and still sounds like a monkey that somebody stepped on

But he is really sweet always helping the broody hens with the chicks

Ranboo (my dd named him ) has been going for 15 minutes or so every morning this week. He cracks me up, sounds like a sad, old squeaky toy at the end.

Reading these crowing comments is making me realize Minnie hasn't crowed in a week or so! I wonder why

When Jeffrey started crowing, he didn't crow again until like two weeks later. After that, he still didn't crow again until two weeks later.
Like a week later he crowed again, and he's finally getting consistent and crowing almost every day now. How old is Minnie?

Minnie is 18 months, and a female!! But she usually crows every day!

Ive decided im going to get the bantam easter egger silkie crosses when i move. They have been bred back to silkies, so more often than not are silkied vs smooth. I am really excited about them, i really want some colored eggs. I am packing up my house now, should have a concrete move date soon. Excited!! I also want another cochin, polish, and D'uccle.. but I'll have to do my final chicken calculations once im there.

Branch turned 14 weeks old yesterday, still not a peep out of him. I even did something today I never do when I was holding him. I crowed myself for him to try and encourage him. All I got was a look from him that was clearly "you have lost your mind."
